In our listening exam you will gain valuable experience listening to a range of native accents (mostly my own, of course!). We will listen to real-life IELTS recordings and you can pause the recording at any time if you need to ask me a question. I will teach you the skills necessary to become a totally independent listener, who can pick out key information, deal with unknown vocabulary, and recall important pieces of dialogue at will. After a series of our Listening Lessons, you will feel confident in your ability to assess an IELTS recording with accuracy, no matter what accent or speed.
With our Reading lessons, we will use Screen Share to look at real-life IELTS texts and interesting articles about IELTS-related topics. We will set you tasks designed to improve your reading ability, and you will be able to test those abilities with real IELTS test questions. After a series of our Reading Lessons, your self belief will develop.
You will no longer feel reliant on the dictionary, and you will feel entirely comfortable with the time constraints of the test. With our help, you will become a reader who is quick, confident, accurate and time-efficient.
In our Writing lessons, we will use Screen Share to look at different examples of real answers to past IELTS Writing questions. You will learn what makes these writers successful, which skills they use effectively, and how these writers address each of the band descriptors to achieve a high grade. You will then practise your own writing with engaging exercises and real IELTS writing questions, which will often be timed according to IELTS standards. Working together, we will target your weaknesses and turn them into the strengths that will give you a top IELTS score.
In our Speaking lessons you will gain the practice and feedback needed to become a confident and accurate speaker. Together we will watch videos of good speakers in the IELTS test, and break down what makes them successful so you can replicate their techniques. We will work on your pronunciation, fluency, coherence, vocabulary, and grammatical accuracy, all the things the IELTS examiners are assessing in their band descriptors.
